What's happening to The Cloud wifi for O2 customers?

13/01/2012

From 1 February 2012, The Cloud wifi won’t be part of unlimited wifi. If your tariff includes wifi access, or you have a wifi Bolt On, you can still use BT Openzone. And now you can also use O2 Wifi hotspots. You’ll need to make some changes to your device to make sure you can carry on using the internet without any problems

What does this mean for O2 customers?

If you want to carry on using The Cloud wifi hotspots you will need to re-register with The Cloud directly. If you dont want to carry on using The Cloud hotspots you will need to delete The Cloud from your device settings (if you don’t do this you may have problems using the internet on your device).

This change wont affect you if:  - you don’t use wifi on your device - you only use BT Openzone or O2 Wifi hotspots - you’re directly registered with The Cloud wifi already   If you are a Business Mobile Broadband Customer, and you have the Sierra Wireless Aircard 318U USB Modem, you will not be able to access BT Openzone. Remember you can re-register with The Cloud directly to continue using The Cloud hotspots, and you can now use O2 Wifi hotspots.

How do I re-register with The Cloud wifi direct?

From 1 February 2012, you won’t be able to use The Cloud wifi through us. But you can keep using it if you re-register directly with The Cloud. Pick your device from the list below for instructions on how to do that. (And keep in mind some venues can charge you for using The Cloud wifi.)
